Sagebrush
Sagebrush is my newest color combination, about one year old. For some time, many customers kept requesting a glaze that was “greener” than Mountain Glade, so last year I began experimenting and came up with this one that turned out to be my best seller for all of 2009. This color group brings together both the trailing and the stamping in a very deep glossy green.

Sagebrush, like Mountain Glade, is based on a celadon. Celadons can range from yellow-green to blue and everywhere in between. For reasons entirely beyond my control, this combo came together very quickly and easily. I utilize some of the same techniques that I developed for both Mountain Glade and Woodland. My favorite parts are where the gold color develops micro-crystals on the surface.
This oval serving dish really shows great stamped patterns as well as good development of the gold areas.
